Hi ! I'm an industrial designer from Germany.


My biggest interest belongs to objects of everyday living, the things we all touch and connect with - the basis for a conversation at eye level.

My process is always influenced by historical references and classical elements which are trying to find a universal truth that lays at the core of design.&#38;nbsp; My design thinking is shaped by challenge, technology , a social approach and finding connections in our habitus.
 

A sense of curiosity and interest in new technologies has always accompanied me. I love to experiment with new tools—whether it’s the newest AI image and video models, photogrammetry scans, AR/VR experiences, or rendering engines—I’ll try it all at least once.

Loop Flex &#124; Phone Booth

The culmination of my time at onetwosix - developing their latest product, the Loop Flex Booth.

Loop Flex is a flat-pack phone booth from moulded acoustic felt, several metal brackets and a glass door. 

 
I was lucky to have been involved in nearly all the steps until the production of the first prototype, and ultimately to being included in the patent with my dear colleagues.

Making the textile industry more circular

In cooperation with De Waag and the european research project Reflow, I tried to find approaches towards a more circular textile industry.

‚Painter‘s carpet‘ is a fabric consisting of shredded textile fibers that serves no other purpose than being locked away as insulation or being used one last time as a cover during renovations, before it is considered unusable garbage and is thrown away. Thereby it is leaving the textile recyling cycle and lost for good. 

Conglomerate is exploring the possibilities of elevating this fabric and finding new applications for it. By finding aesthetical and functional qualities in this medium, new markets can be opened up which is ultimately helping the recycling facility which is producing this fabric as one of its processes, financially. 

If successful, the institutions of the circular economy could be strenghtened and the blanket of shredded fibers would find its way back into the cycle to be reused once again. 

I investigated the fabric through screen printing, embroidery and lasercutting. I then used the upgraded fabric in 3 applications related to textiles : a jacket, upholstery and a curtain.

Product and Poetry

Mixing digital design techniques with traditional porcelain making

Reprisé is a porcelain transfer object, a tray for the exchange of meaningful messages

Reprisé posesses a rather wistful, vanitas-related aura. With its petrified dynamic, the tray appears nearly spectral.


The gentle movement of an upward breeze, frozen to a white sheen.

A fugitive eternity that appears in a whisper. Reprise. An upswing. The continuation of forces between two moments of tension. The body seems to be lifting, subjecting to the forces of wind, but not yet able to oppose gravity. Standstill. A petrified moment. 

An irritation.Time and gravity are distorted. Fascination. Sublime at first glance, challenging at second glance. And yet fleeting.

Reprise can serve as a messenger. 
The almost sacral appearance demands meaning of the message and can not be used carelessly.Traditional porcelain-production was confronted with CAD-techniques, resulting in an object that was simulated in a computer, printed by a 3D-Printer, cast in gypsum and finally cast in real porcelain. The wind simulation created details and physical accuracy which emphasizes the mesmerism radiating from the tray. Despite the high amount of digital input and manufacturing steps, the result is a highly emotional object.

	Through computer aided design and rapid prototyping we tried to enable the traditional process of porcelain casting to develop new qualities.

&#38;nbsp;We developed digital models, recreated them in 3D-printers and produced gypsum molds by casting them.

&#38;nbsp;We then cast porcelain into the molds, 
fired and glazed it.

Design of a reusable breathing mask to protect against biological environmental factors, based on UV disinfection technology

The corona pandemic COVID 19 in 2019/2020 has shown the global community how fragile it can be in the presence of a global infectious disease.


The resulting crisis has not yet been overcome during the preparation of this bachelor thesis.

But solutions and improvements emerge from every crisis, since the human greatest evolutionary ability is adaptation.

This work tries to be a response to such a crisis.


It acts within the following dystopian framework:

Biological environmental factors have become an ongoing threat in our everyday lives. The cause of the problem has not been resolved, there is no cure. When we move around in public spaces, constant protection of our airways is necessary.


Due to the extensive nature of a bachelor thesis, I will only show a few impressions of the paper.

The aim of the present Bachelor Thesis was, to design a breathing mask which due to their technology becomes a durable, reusable product, and thus forms a whole other relationship to its user than disposable or cloth masks.


I tried to shape a design which demonstrates superior technology without intimidating. The Mask relates to human attributes and imitates these, mixing them with alien properties.

The result is familiar and yet strange - like a faded memory or the moment of a developing new thought.
